very one-sided

i think that my dialog on friday went something like this:

- good morning
- hey guys! good boy, good girl.
- have a nice day, see you this afternoon
- morning, got any weekend plans?
- morning
- morning
- morning. anything good this weekend?
- morning
- yeah, we should set up a trip to the casino soon
- damnit, 8am
- fuck you
- fuck you
- fuck you
- what can i do for you?
- fuck you
- wow, you're a piece of shit
- fuck you
- it was nice talking to you. let me know if there's anything else i can do.
- fuck you
- yeah, ruby tuesday sounds good to me too
- fuck you
- fuck you
- fuck you
- the food is here
- this is really good
- yeah, i can go back upstairs. i have a lot left to do too. that's fine.
- fuck you
- fuck you
- fuck you, call me back when you get this
- fuck you
- fuck you
- yeah, i will
- fuck you
- have a good weekend
- have a good weekend
- see you on monday!

this is the problem with a job that has lots of customer interaction.

----------------------------------------------------------

and speaking of customer service, i still hate cvs. maybe more than ever.

last night i called to have a prescription refilled. it's something i take daily for my stomach. i ordered it, and set the pickup for today. when i got to cvs, they told me that the medicine had been discontinued. obviously i was surprised. they said they had tried to call me but they had the wrong number. now i find this funny because i've only had 1 number for the last 4 years, and i've only been living here and using this cvs for 1 year. and the first time i got a prescription filled there i had to update all my info with them, so i know they have it. but cvs is retarded.

so the girl was just like "we dont have any more" and shrugged at me. she told me i could call my doctor to find out about this (which i of course planned on anyway. i just saw the doctor last month and he gave me a number of refills but didnt mention anything about a discontinuation). she also said she didnt think anyone else had it either. call your doctor.

so naturally, i called walgreens. walgreens confirmed that it appears a discontinuation might be inevitable, but walgreens happily and curteously searched other stores to try to find some for me for right now until the question of the discontinuation is answered. granted i was talking to the lady on the phone, but i dont think she just stood there and shrugged at me. furthermore, she didnt even mention that i call my doctor until i brought it up that i would. she said she would gladly continue search other locations for me to find it if she could in the future. i advised i would call my doctor to confirm and maybe see if there were another thing i could use in the meantime. on top of all this, walgreens took my info and she said that she would call cvs to get my prescription over to walgreens and that i didnt have to do anything. obviously, i thanked her.

the short of it is that while cvs just stood there and sucked their own tiny collective dick, walgreens actually tried to help me. so there you have it, shitty customer service - another reason to hate cvs. fuck cvs, use walgreens.

UPDATE: i had to add an update. as it turns out, walgreens is not one of the approved providers or fucking whatever for my fucking insurance. i have insurance, i pay what i feel is too much for it, and it doesnt fucking cover one of the largest fucking pharmacy chains. fucking perfect. so i'm still going to get my shit tomorrow, but instead of $5 it will be $40. it's not their fault my insurance is fucked. and they really helped me out while cvs just sat their like a fucking retard at a physics convention. so fuck it. and then i have to have a talk with my doctor this week, and maybe my insurance. fuck.

Don't worry, we are going to have a national health care system soon as Barry the Messiah is elected. From the people that brought you FEMA the Katrina edition and the Waco standoff, it's your right to National Health Care! It will be fixed in no time.

i don't want a national health care system. i don't mind if there's a system for everyone who has a job, but i don't like the idea of my taxes going towards non-working, welfare-collecting baby mommas younger than myself. yes, there are always exceptions and/or extenuating circumstances, however lately it seems as though it is more common for people to fall within one of the exceptions, and i don't feel the exception should become the norm. it makes people stop trying and feel entitled.

which reminds me of something i heard on, of all places, the colbert report. one of the guests said that the main difference between liberals and conservatives is that liberals believe in equality while conservatives believe in freedom. i realize that there is a shitton of room to argue about semantics and meanings here, but overall i think it's a fascinating statement. the only problem i have with "equality" is that i feel it gives people the notion that they are automatically entitled to certain things. some of this may be true, but i think that this idea snowballs and people begin to feel they are entitled to a lot more. but absolute freedom has it's problems as well. after all, that's how dictatorships are formed. the strongest rise to power. of course, i wouldnt have a problem with this if i were in the best position, but i'm sure that's how most feel.

to me, yet again, moderation seems key.

holy tangent.

I do like that you are stuck at CVS. It makes for more interesting blog posts :)

shubie, i assume you're a republican and you're inferring that liberals are to blame for Katrina and Waco? am i reading this correctly? if not, please ignore what follows as i am under the impression that you are in fact, a card carrying member of the republican party.

of course we don't want the people who brought you waco and katrina, thats why we're voting for democrates. gee, a republican president was burned by his silly budget cuts and retarded political appointees. and the republican mentality of shoot first, ask later helped a ton at waco. i do want national healthcare, its time america started acting like the rest of the world and catch up. we are the ONLY industrialized country that does not have universal healthcare. our medical industry has worse records then most other countries and more people die here then they should.

and josh, i'd gladly provide steller customer service for an 800% markup. now thats republican.

well the 800% markup is because they didn't take my insurance. the people were nice even when they thought that they did.

Matt, do a quick google search of who was President during Waco. Geeze. What a broad perspective on history we have when we can't remember under what administration Waco happened.

I just picked two bungled episodes of government intervention to demonstrate that government solutions aren't always solutions.

The rest of the world is on the road to self-destruction. I don't think that's a road we want to go down. Or maybe we do...screw it. Obama '08! Can we collapse Western Civilization? Yes we can!

how are we not half way down highway to us being fucked? china could crush us in an instant and iran could eliminate 2/3 of our army in 5 minutes.

i'll cave on waco as i don't totally remember all teh details from that but we not number 1 like most americans think and we're headed for a nice fall.

Wow, that first sentence sounds downright militaristic doesn't it? Good man. You'll get there.

Waco was 1993. Bill Clinton was President. Janet Reno was attorney general.
