the ocean breathes salty

do you think it burns when people get eaten by sharks, you know, cuz of the saltwater? or are they more focused on the fact that their arm is missing?

Hey nice Modest Mouse reference. I prefer their early stuff. But then I have been called a music snob...

See, I have no idea what LSGP is talking about. I'm guessing its the post title. Does that make me a music idiot?

The title is the name of a Modest Mouse song; I think it was their first very popular single, so yes you missed something big, but that's great because here in the good 'ol US of A we should know that just because it's big doesn't mean it's any good. (I think that song was good, but most things in pop culture are not)

Yeah - though I might argue that Float On was more popular than this title. And no, Butterflyfish, you ain't no idiot. I wouldn't call Modest Mouse popular by any stretch, so don't feel bad. But they totally rule (especially in concert), so if you're interested in new music...

yeah, modest mouse isnt as well known as most pop culture stuff. the only song of theirs i've ever heard on the radio or any tv performance (late night shows, etc) is float on.

Um... could we PLEASE stick to the issue at hand? I think the shock of the shark attacking me plus the added difficulty of swimming with one or more missing limbs would distract me from the stinging.

If I do get killed by a shark, would you please bury me with it?

hahaha, definitely lk.

my personal favorite would have to be either 3rd planet or baby blue sedan. although polar opposites and paper thin walls are also in the running.

Back to the issue at hand then...

Calling Steve Irwin! Did the saltwater sting?

What, too soon?

Yeah I dig limewire, though my friends are trying to get me to switch to azureus. I like them both...

3rd Planet, Bankrupt on Selling, Trucker's Atlas, but my all-time favorite is Interstate 8.

"3rd Planet" is definitely one of their better efforts. I was disappointed by the album "Float On" was on. And when I saw them in concert, they sucked worst than bands I've seen in basements. I was not impressed and have since been extremely turned off by them generally.

I don't think I would notice the stinging.

At a Halloween party I went to, a guy and his girlfriend showed up dressed as Steve Irwin and a stingray, respectively. They had to stay together all night because the girl had her tail permanently attached to the guy's chest.
